About Intelligent Design

Intelligent Design, LLC, based in Burlington, NJ, was founded to provide the technical and logistical support for George Martin’s “a Journey for 9/11,” which was a nine and a half month walk across the country to raise awareness and funds on behalf of healthcare for those brave soles, who rushed into ground zero on September 11, 2001.

George Martin, Co-Captain of the 1986 Super Bowl New York Football Giants and President and Founder of “a Journey for 9/11” and Lee Reeves, President and CEO of Intelligent Design, walked from the George Washington Bridge in New York City to Embarcadero Park in San Diego raising nearly $3 Million on behalf of the Heroes of Ground Zero.

Throughout the 3,003 mile trek, Intelligent Design provided the website, which was fully integrated with an eCommerce portal and real-time GPS tracking. The firm provided daily route plans and coordinated safe passage with state and local authorities throughout streets and highways of 13 states and Mexico.

Our CEO also provided on-the-ground management of events and the national media exposure including, ABC (person of the Week and later Persons of the Year 2008), NBC, Fox, ESPN, NFL Films, HBO and Sirius Radio as well as dozens of local media contacts and events. As the official photographer and videographer, Intelligent Design captured the experience in roughly 24,000 photos and over 70 hours of video.

At the conclusion of the walk, Intelligent Design continues to provide technical infrastructure for “a Journey for 9/11,” while also focusing on technology solutions for other businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Click Here to learn more about “a Journey for 9/11.”
